Privacy Policy
How netwiss OG handles personal data when you use the TrainOptimizer® website.
Website contact
For TrainOptimizer® enquiries, users may also contact info@transportoptimizer.com.
Server logs / hosting
When users visit the website, technical access data may be processed by the hosting provider, including IP address, date and time of access, requested page, browser/user agent and referrer. This is used to provide the website securely and reliably.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in secure and stable website operation.
Email enquiries
If users contact us by email or through mailto links, we process the data provided in the message, including name, email address, subject and message content, only to respond to the enquiry and handle the requested communication.
Legal basis: steps taken at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract, and legitimate interest in answering enquiries addressed to us.
YouTube videos / external media
Some Academy and product pages contain embedded YouTube videos. These videos are not loaded automatically. A connection to YouTube/Google is only established after the user actively clicks “Load YouTube video”. After loading, Google may process personal data and may set cookies or similar technologies. Data may be transferred to the United States.
Academy progress / localStorage
The Academy may store watched-video progress locally in the user’s browser using localStorage. This information remains on the user’s device and is not used for analytics or tracking.
Cookies & external media
The website does not use analytics or marketing cookies. No cookie banner is required for normal page use. External media is loaded only after user action.
This means there are no cookie settings to configure. Embedded YouTube videos stay blocked until you click “Load YouTube video” on the relevant player — see YouTube videos / external media above for what happens once you do.
Recipients
Personal data may be processed by technical service providers such as hosting providers and email providers. YouTube/Google receives data only when users load external video content.
Retention
Server logs are retained only as long as technically necessary for security and operation. Email enquiries are retained as long as necessary to process the request and meet legal retention obligations.
User rights
Users have the right to:
- Access
- Rectification
- Erasure
- Restriction of processing
- Objection
- Data portability, where applicable
Users also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority.
